Three-Alarm Fire at Stratham Strip Mall

Firefighters from several Seacoast communities battled it.

UPDATE, 12:30 p.m.

The Union Leader is reporting officials believe an electrical issue sparked the blaze. A Domino's and two other businesses sustained damage.

It looks like the roof of a Domino's sustained damage. Firefighters were also working near a Curves.

The fire was knocked down around 9:30 this morning and declared under control at 9:45. Crews are still at the scene conducting overhaul.

Firefighters are at the scene of a 3-alarm fire that broke out in a Stratham strip mall this morning.

The first call came in around 8:25 a.m. for a fire at 74 to 76 Portsmouth Avenue, the Stratham Plaza. Heavy smoke was reportedly coming from the eaves of the 1-1/2 story building, which houses numerous businesses. Firefighters from Exeter, Hampton, Portsmouth, Durham and other neighboring communities were also called to the scene to help battle the blaze.

The State Fire Marshal has been called to the scene, and additional engines are now being requested for station coverage.

Stratham Plaza is located across the street from the BMW dealership on Portsmouth Avenue (Route 108). Among the businesses located in the plaza are Domino's Pizza, Matt Randall's Black Belt Academy, Children's Clothing Tree, Club Screamers, Cornucopia Wine & Cheese, Groomingdale's, Valerio's Kitchen, Stratham Family Eye Care, Acoustic Outfitters Music Shop, Salon 72, Curves, Murray Irish Dance Academy, State Farm Insurance, TriSome Foods and Ocean Valley Veterinary Hospital.
