Jessica Linscott, Roland Dow Remain on the Run

A Plaistow couple charged with battering, burning and endangering a 3-year-old remain on the run from police.
Police have received tips that Jessica Linscott, 23—the mother of the boy—and her boyfriend, Roland Dow, 27, were recently at gas stations and coffee shops in the North Shore part of Massachusetts. There was a possible sighting Monday in Lowell.
A police report Sunday said they may be trying to make their way to Maine in blue Dodge minivan with a New Hampshire license plate numbered 2844129.
Rockingham County Attorney Jim Reams said Monday police are receiving more and more tips on their whereabouts.
MyFoxBoston.com reported Monday that Linscott may have dyed her hair black while on the run.
Dow is charged with first- and second-degree assault for allegedly hitting the child in the head and burning his fingers and wrist.
The boy, James, reportedly suffered a head injury that impaired his vision.
Police said they discovered the boy's injuries after he was treated at Exeter Hospital last week.
James is in now stable condition at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
Reams has demanded that Dow and Linscott turn themselves in.
"No matter where you go, (police) are going to find you," Reams said at a recent news conference. "Surrender yourselves."
Linscott is charged with child endangement.
Reams said the pair are likely traveling in a car and may have people helping them avoid capture. He said he has no reason to believe Dow is holding Linscott against her will.
The 3-year-old's grandmother is Helen Nicholson, of Melrose, Mass. She told WMUR.com that she's "frantic."
"They both need to pay for this and they need to pay big. This is not a small case," Nicholson told WMUR. "They tried to kill my grandson."
Anyone with information on the couple's whereabouts is asked to call Plaistow police at 603-382-1200.

Too bad they can't turn themselves in to prove who was innocent, now,they are both guilty of this horrendous thing done to a defenseless child. Shame on them.

Jessica you owe it to your son to turn yourself in and tell the truth about what happened to that boy. It looks like you have not stood up for him up till now, so stop thinking with your ............... and stand up now.

Look at her past. The boys dad was a drug addict who committed suicide. She abuses her kid and gets court ordered anger management. The boyfriend is by the way a stable train conductor, no criminal record. No history of drugs or violence like the mother. The boyfriend lived in his home in plaistow since he was 5. The girlfriend was the live in person in the relationship. The boyfriend was overly protective of his own daughter. Never corrected her physically and took very good care of her. Roland had a job that requires a focused level headed personality. Train conductors are not the type to do something like this. Everyone that knows him would tell you this. Jessica on the other hand comes from a very violent and tragic background. Before convicting the boyfriend take a look at the record of the girlfriend.

Hi Andy, So why doesn't he turn himself in to prove his innocence? Why run if he isn't involved with the abuse? Too many questions not answered. That will all come out when these 2 are in custody, right? Bottom line, a 3 year old child has suffered and someone needs to be held responsible. No one is defining which one of them did this, but, the longer they both evade police, the more they both are showing involvement.

how do they know who inflicted the burns?why is he running too then?none of this maskes sense to me..i would kill someone who hurt a hair on my sons head..he has a child of his own that he just took off on ?

Roland was not a "stable train conductor" he never went to work half of the time and was a punk ass. That is why he was fired from his job. He will get his...it is coming. He is a turd loser. He has so many counts against him at his former job. He pissed away a good carrer. He can take his GED and try to make what he did on the railroad but he wont and he will also piss that job away too. They will take care of him in jail for sure!!!

None of us know the whole story. People are so eager to jump to conclusions and be judge and jury without knowing what was really happening. What happened to that sweet boy is a tragedy and should never happen to any child. But who hurt him and why??? I don't get how a mom could leaver her child and run off like that. We don't know what demons she is facing. I feel for her just like that boy. We need to pray for all 3 of them. That both Jessica and her boyfriend come to terms and realize that they need to grow up and face their maker. Cause wether its here on earth or on the other they will have to face the truth and pay the price.

They are both guilty. No caring, loving mother allows anyone to mistreat, never mind burn & beat their child. Both should rot in prison for the rest of theor natural lives. That sweet child needs a loving and stable home to grow up in. Don't trust grandma.

So Andy your saying it was the mom who did it. Then why is he running and if he is such a good dad like u said he wouldn't have let it happen in the first place to any child and wouldn't leave his daughter to run from something he never did. They're both scumbags. If someone ever tried to hurt my kids I would personally make sure they got what they deserved and she's running with him makes her a horrible person and mother even if she didnt physcially hurt him he's hurting him by not turning herself in and telling the real story. Your best bet is to kill yourself. Thats all.

14 days now and still on the run.... My own mother would turn me in and let justice pervail. I have children of my own and can't imagine being the hand behind this kind of abuse or standing by to wach it happen. I dont know Roland or Jessica personaly but i know people that do know Roland and there have been mixed things said..... i'm glad to hear what i do on the news about the little boy doing better, my only hope is that as he gets better the fait of the two in question gets closer... You can run but you will be found sooner or later EVERYONE pays thier dues.

Roland was indeed a shitbag. I know, worked with him for nearly 3 years. Hes the only student conductor that i gave a shitty review. He was a punk kid who rarely worked and had a horrible attutude to most of the other train crews with the exception of myself because he knew that id beat his weasel dick scrawny ass if he did.The only reason that he was able to get the railroad job in the first place was because he knew and did yard work for the woman in charge of payroll.He was fired about 8 months ago for the very things that I just mentioned and this whole ordeal with this innocent little boy doesnt surprise me in the least.
