Concert to Benefit Exeter Food Pantry

The a cappella singing groups "Tuckermans at 9" and "The Sugarbeats" will be performing a Christmas benefit concert at Verdant Pastures in Epping at 7:30 pm on December 15 with the proceeds going to St. Vincent de Paul of Exeter.

Tuckermans at 9 is known throughout New England for their special interpretations,without instruments, of pop, rock and light jazz favorites. In the holiday spirit they will also be singing several seasonal songs. The seven-person group has a wide repertoire that will please everyone.

Opening the show will be The Sugarbeats of Exeter, also an a cappella group, who are gaining acclaim throughout the Seacoast.

Tickets are $20 and available at Exeter Music, 135 Water St. or St. Vincent de Paul, 53 Lincoln St., Exeter. Show-goers are asked to bring a non perishable food item for the Epping Food Pantries.

Audiences at Verdant Pastures Auditorium enjoy extraordinary acoustics, elegant seating, a hardwood proscenium stage, geothermal air conditioning and radiant floor heating. The setting is an historic 100 acre farm just off of Route 27 on Ladd’s Lane in Epping.

Exeter St. Vincent de Paul has helped the less fortunate of the area for the past 23years. Last November the group opened its Community Assistance Center at 53 Lincoln Street which houses its Food Pantry and offices. During the past 12 months St. Vincentde Paul has served over 2300 families providing 140,000 meals. The 100-volunteer organization also provides employment assistance, health and senior services and programs that help with fuel, utilities and other essentials.
