Johnson in Exeter: NH Will Help Me

He spoke to a small crowd at RiverWoods.

GOP presidential candidate Gary Johnson said in Exeter today he will continue to focus on New Hampshire and is banking on Granite Staters to help his campaign gain prominence.

Johnson spoke to a crowd of about 25 people at the senior community. Johnson said it was his 19th trip to New Hampshire.

"You take the time to listen to what (candidates) have to say," Johnson said. "I think I'll fare well in that regard."

The audience was a fraction of the amount who came out for appearances by Newt Gingrich and Jon Huntsman at RiverWoods.

Johnson today advocated for establishing a fair tax, reducing the size of the EPA, and getting rid of the Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. He added Herman Cain's "9-9-9" tax plan is a bad idea.

Tonight, Johnson will be in Hampton for a with fellow candidates Newt Gingrich, Buddy Roemer, and Rick Santorum.
