Gathering for Slain UNH Student

Several dancers will perform at St. John's Episcopal Church on Saturday to celebrate the life of the UNH student who was murdered in October and support her family.

More than a dozen belly dancers and two dancing troupes will perform at St. John's Episcopal Church in Portsmouth on Saturday to celebrate the life of Elizabeth "Lizzi" Marriott and to support her grieving family.

Foster's Daily Democrat reported the event will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday. The newspaper said tickets are $10 and the proceeds will be donated to the Lizzi Marriott Intrepid Explorer Fund.

Authorities say that Lizzi Marriott, 21, was murdered on Oct. 9 in Dover by Seth Mazzaglia who also dumped her body into the Piscataqua River. So far, efforts to locate her body have been unsuccessful. Mazzaglia has been charged with second-degree murder and is currently being held at the Strafford County Jail in Dover.
