Maggie Hassan's campaign tonight will hold a kick-off event at its Exeter headquarters.

Hassan, a former state senator who lives in Exeter, is up against Jackie Cilley for the Democratic nomination in the governor's race.

Hassan recently opened her Exeter headquarters at the business plaza at 92 Portsmouth Ave. in Exeter. The kick-off event will be held there from 5:30-7 p.m.

On the GOP side of the governor race, Ovide Lamontagne is going up against Kevin Smith, the former head of the Cornerstone organization. North Hampton's Steve Kenda is also exploring a run.

The Primary is Sept. 11. The election is Nov. 6.
