Exeter's Bea Eldon snapped these photos of the 30th Exeter Criterium professional bike race Tuesday.
A criterium is a fast-paced race around a short course with multiple laps. The course was a roughly mile-long loop that starts at Town Hall and winds past Phillips Exeter Academy and Swasey Parkway.
Adam Myerson, of Massachusetts, won the first-place cash prize of $1,500. Proceeds from the race benefitted University of New Hampshire scholarships.
The race was sponsored by Redhook, Exeter Hospital, and Unitil.
Redhook served up its new Exeter-inspired "American Independence Ale" beer at the American Independence Museum during the race.
