The Exeter Theater Company – the group trying to revive the Ioka – recently took Exeter Patch on a tour inside the historic building. We snapped a bunch of pictures. Each day, we'll post a new one.

Today's photo is of a schematic for the basement – which will feature a bar area, television, and a green room for plays, etc. Theater company leader Carol Walker Aten showed us the schematic during a live chat we held earlier this week.

The theater company is working with Alan Lewis – the Kensington philanthropist who bought the Ioka – to revive it as a community theater. The company is holding a membership drive, with a goal of signing up 1,000 donors by the end of March. You can "adopt" one of the marquee letters for $50.

Check out our special Ioka section on Exeter Patch for continuous coverage of the effort to revive the historic theater.
