10:49 a.m. Bachmann said she needs the help of social conservatives to win.

10:47 a.m. Bachmann's reply: "That's awesome! ... You would have seen an unprecedented level of growth."

10:46 a.m. Former N.H. State Rep. Don Gorman, of Deerfield, said the entire country should put a moratorium on the income tax for a year.

10:45 a.m. Bachmann said she has a concealed weapon permit. "Go Second Amendment!"

10:43 a.m. Bachmann: "I'm not of the crowd that human acitivty is the cause of global warming."

10:42 a.m. One person told Bachmann global warming is happening. "No it's not," someone nearby said.

10:40 a.m. Bachmann criticized U.S. involvement in Libya.

10:38 a.m. Bachmann said more work needs to be done in Afghanistan to "break the back" of terrorists.

10:36 a.m. State Rep. Bob Elliot said we should take troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan and station them at the Mexican border.

10:33 a.m. Bachmann's reply: "There is nothing more painful than losing a child ... I thank you for trying to make beauty out of ashes." She says part of the problem are the drugs that come into the U.S. Said Mexico is a big problem. Said the country need to complete a fence between the countries. Crowd responds with loud applause.

10:32 a.m. North Conway's Steven Steiner, who lost his son to a prescription drug overdose, asks Bachmann to make tougher drug laws a priority.

10:31 a.m. Bachmann concludes her speech. She's now taking questions.

10:30 a.m. Bachmann said Tea Party includes "disaffected Democrats" and "lovely libertarians."

10:23 a.m.: Bachmann says if elected president, "My number one and first focus will be on turning the economy around. That is job one. And you do it by doing exactly the opposite of the Obama administration."

10:22 a.m.: Bachmann talking about the impact ObamaCare is having on small businesses. "What's a small business owner to do?"

10:20 a.m.: Bachmann continuing to comment on the level of waste she sees in Washington, D.C.

10:19 a.m.: She mentions Nancy Pelosi, drawing boos. Bachmann: "We have similar feelings, but be nice."

10:18 a.m.: She's now talking about some of the ridiculous expenditures being approved in Congress, including one bill to provide money for foreign cats and dogs.

10:17 a.m.: Bachmann just referred to soda as "pop," then said "We're the Midwesterners you folks make fun of."

10:16 a.m.: Funds were so tight, they couldn't afford movies, so she and her husband would go to nursing homes and visit elderly people as a dating copule.

10:15 a.m.: Bachmann talking about her and her husband's upbringing, backgrounds. Growing up, she babysat for 50 cents an hour. "We thought that was big money."

9:33 a.m. Bachmann is expected to come out at 10:10 a.m. and speak at 10:15 a.m. We'd be impressed if she came out on time. Politicians are usually late to events like this.

9:31 a.m. Campaign worker said the event is "starting soon."

9:25 a.m. Looks like Bachmann is going after South Carolina more than New Hampshire, at least at this point. After her appearance here, she is flying to South Carolina and making five stops in that state.

9:24 a.m. Members of Bachmann's entourage just pulled up in black SUVs. Bachmann was in Manchester last night.

9:05 a.m. Just spoke to North Conway resident Steven Steiner. He lost his 19-year-old son, Steven, Jr., to a prescription drug overdose. He is campaigning for tougher drug control laws by approaching all the presidential candidates.

9:01 a.m. There's nearly 100 people here now. We see three television cameras set up.

8:58 a.m. Raymond is a hotbed for the Tea Party in the Granite State. The Raymond Area Tea Party runs this blog.

8:55 a.m. Just saw former governor candidate Karen Testerman. She has appeared at many Tea Party rallies.
