Local Beer Now Being Served at Fenway Park

Smuttynose's Finestkind IPA will be served at a new craft beer pavilion.

When Seacoast residents go to see the Boston Red Sox play at Fenway Park this year, they will be able to enjoy Smuttynose Finestkind IPA in the new craft beer pavilion.

Brewery representative JT Thompson said he just learned recently that Finestkind IPA made the cut for Fenway Park's new craft beer pavilion. Smuttynose is based in Portsmouth and building a new location in Hampton.

“It’s a good thing because Fenway Park is probably the most high-profile beer account in Boston,” said Thompson. “It’s a really nice showcase for our beer.”

The beer is also sold at the TD Garden during Boston Celtics' and Boston Bruins' games.

Thompson said Smuttynose Brewing Co. owner Peter Eagleston and many members of their staff are huge Red Sox fans and they are so pleased their craft beer will now be enjoyed by millions of Red Sox fans.

“In the grand scheme of things, ballparks are catching on” as far as craft beer is concerned, said Thompson.

Smuttynose is currently building a new brewery and restaurant in Hampton.
