Man Charged with DWI, Resisting Arrest

A dog bite was also reported on Beech Hill Road.

 

The following are excerpts from the Exeter police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thur., Jan. 17

  • 7:50 a.m. A vehicle went off the road on Newfields Road.
  • 10:13 a.m. A loose animal was reported on Drinkwater Road.
  • 11:24 a.m. A dog bite was reported on Beech Hill Road.
  • 1:41 p.m. A crash was reported on Newfields Road.
  • 7:26 p.m. A crash was reported on Pine Street.
  • 7:32 p.m. James Long, 59, of Exeter, was arrested on a warrant for theft. He was released on $500 bail.

Fri., Jan. 18

  • 7:48 p.m. An animal complaint was made on Pine Street.
  • 11:14 p.m. Harassing phone calls were reported on Main Street.
  • 1:31 p.m. Reckless driving was reported on Portsmouth Avenue.
  • 1:45 p.m. A burglar alarm went off on Water Street.
  • 3:49 p.m. Hazardous driving conditions were reported on Holland Way.
  • 5:30 p.m. A crash was reported on Ash Street.
  • 6:23 p.m. A burglar alarm went off on Hobart Street.
  • 10:25 p.m. Matthew Rice, 23, of Raymond, was charged with DWI, resisting arrest, and driving after revocation. Bail was set at $750.
