More Trouble for Alleged Drunk Babysitter

Julie Reid had another run-in with police this month.

An Exeter woman last year for allegedly being drunk while babysitting a bunch of children is in trouble with police again.

Julie Reid, 31, was arrested Aug. 10 on a host of charges, including theft, vandalism, and resisting arrest. Police said they could not provide additional information about the incident. Court papers on the case were not available last week.

Last year, Reid was charged with child endangerment after police said she was so drunk that one of the children she was babysitting had to call police for help. Her blood-alcohol content was .318 – nearly four times the legal limit, according to court documents. Police said she had to be hospitalized.

A few weeks after that incident, Reid was hospitalized again after police found her incoherent at a residence in town.

When she was arrested this month, Reid was also charged with criminal liability for the conduct of another person and making a false report to law enforcement. Her bail was set at $1,000.
