Paralyzed Exeter Teen Sets Swimming Records

She will compete in London, England this year.

An Exeter teen dealing with a rare spinal cord condition that nearly took her life is making waves after setting a pair of U.S. Paralympic swimming records, according to WMUR-TV.

Victoria Arlen broke records in the 100- and 400-meter events. She will compete for Team USA this summer in the Paralympic Games in London, England.

"I'm just happy to go there," Arlen told WMUR.

Arlen, 17, currently attends Exeter High School. She has been dealing with her spinal condition since she was 11.
