An Exeter woman was charged with six counts of child endangerment.

A 30-year-old Exeter babysitter was so drunk that one of the children she was caring for called authorities – who then had to take her to the hospital, according to police.

Following the incident, which happened last month, Julie Reid was charged yesterday with six counts of endangering the welfare of a child – as she had been caring for six children the night of the incident, according to police.

"She was heavily intoxicated and unable to to care for the children," said Exeter police Capt. Christopher Fenerty.
