Exeter High School is a football powerhouse. The Blue Hawks this month won the Division 1 state title, their second in a row.
The team doesn't play an annual Thanksgiving Day game—a tradition for many schools across New England.
Should Exeter play on Turkey Day? If so, which team should it play? You can vote in our poll and leave a comment below.
Several commenters on Hampton-North Hampton Patch said they would love to see Exeter play Winnacunnet High School. The only problem is the teams already play an annual rivalry game, which Winnacunnet won this year.

Have them play winnacunnett at thanksgiving rather than during the year since that game doesn't count division wise.

I agree. Move the Winnacunnet game from where it sits now on the schedule, to Thanksgiving Day. The start time should be late morning, like 11am kickoff. Another team can be found to fill the mid season spot, vacated by moving Winnacunnet to turkey day

I agree. Move the Winnacunnet rival game to Thanksgiving, and fill in the current spot with PEA

Here are some comments from Hampton/North Hampton Patch:
Tom Quinn: "Having grown up with a Thanksgiving football rivalry game I would love to bring it here to our hometown of Hampton. I think Exeter would be the perfect town to play. So much rivalry and good fun between the the towns."
Christopher Singleton: "Winnacunnet v. Exeter would be a big hit with a big crowd, and now that they are in different divisions it would be easy to schedule."

They'll be in the same big division next year.

What a draw this game would bring as many returning alumni come from college for the holiday.

I'm surprised more people are not commenting on this one way or another.
