Firefighters extinguished a single-alarm fire on Hersey Lane in Stratham Tuesday night.
The initial call came in around 5 p.m. for smoke showing from the front of a residence at 1 Hersey Lane, according to emergency radio broadcasts. The fire reportedly started in a chimney then extended to the structure. No injuries were reported.
The Exeter Fire Department assisted at the scene.
