Support for Hospital in Hep C Outbreak

The Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce submitted a letter.

The following letter was submitted by the Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce after a hepatitis C outbreak at Exeter Hospital:

The Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors would like to make a statement of support for Exeter Hospital.

Exeter Hospital has been a valuable member of the greater Exeter community for over 100 years and we believe that especially at this time, it is important not to lose sight of the countless contributions and positive impact this healthcare institution has had on the lives of individuals, the community and the area businesses.

This statement of support of Exeter Hospital is not intended to minimize the seriousness of the current situation on the individuals involved, however we believe that this complicated and unfortunate matter should not overshadow the 100-plus years of proven good Exeter Hospital has brought to our community.

Signed,
