New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie talks down a protester at a Mitt Romney event at Exeter High School Jan. 8.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie tonight talked down a group of protesters – and a woman in particular – who interrupted a huge Mitt Romney campaign event at Exeter High School.

Christie, rumored as a possible vice president pick for Romney, took on a protester who chanted "Mitt kills job!" and then "Christie kills jobs!"

You can watch the exchange in the video above.

The crowd numbered about 1,000. There were another 200-plus members of the media.

Romney went after President Obama, rarely mentioning his GOP rivals. He was joined onstage by New Hampshire U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte, another rumored vice president pick for Romney.

There were two interruptions by protesters. The chants during the first interruption were inaudible. Romney paused, then went on to say that the people have the right to protest – just before police removed them from the event. The second interruption was mentioned above involving Christie.

The New Jersey governor received noticeably louder applause at several points than Romney did.

Christie was great !perhaps one of three potential VP running mates Romney may choose, the other two being Marco Rubio or Condoleeza Rice.

Hey Mittens, do us a favor: keep that fat bastard out of our state as long as you can. The longer he's gone, the less damage he can do.

When a protester interrupted President Obama he told them that he would listen to their concerns after he finished his speech. Can't imagine Chris Christie doing that. He just a Jersey boy and always will be - no class but uses his weight (no pun intended) around.

To be a candidiate for President on the Republican ballot you are required to be a psychopath - "Psychopathy is a personality disorder characterized primarily by a lack of empathy and remorse, shallow emotions, egocentricity, and deception. "

The liberal loony tunes commenting here as mentioned by Ms. Castellano are certifiable idiots, could cure their illness by reading, The Liberal Mind: The Psychology of Political Madness by Dr. Lyle H. Rossiter, JR., Phd in Psychology with 30 plus years of experience. For them it would be a true and revealing look at themselves in the mirror.

Christie's next job is as a Macy's Thanksgiving day parade balloon.
And now if you excuse me, I have a visiting cannibal and he's drooling all over the floor.

Yes Fred. Many Dem's expect welfare handouts and feel entitled. EBT cards are currently utilized by 17 per cent of Americans(and rising) and in many cases fraudulently. EBT cards are too much like a credit card- at least when peeps had to hand over and shell out food stamps there was a sense of embarrassment in the check out line-- now holding an EBT card is a sense of pride, that is wrong.

About Chris Christie....Thought I would weigh in here. Pun unintended, but left in after I typed it. I live in NJ and voted for him for Gov. His first 2 years in office have shown that he is a typical politician, just louder and ruder than most. He has used sound bites, controlled media and is very shrewd at convincing the masses of his accomplishments. But if you saw him full time, and knew the truth behind his statements of accomplishments, you would find a pol who twists the numbers and repeatedly claims victory when there is none. He has thrown some of his strongest supporters under the bus to cover his own mistakes. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't change my vote because the other guy (Corzine) was horrible and Christie has done some good things. But his arrogance and bully tactics can wear thin quickly. It bothers me that the rest of the country sees him as some kind of savior. He's not. He's just manipulating the system to appear that way.

Don't worry, not fooled. I have watched many clips of him, and he does tend to elevate his voice and smirk at the same time, as if to invite his audience to an inside joke. My only concern about Christie was that he would actually run and win because the rest of this field will fail miserably against Obama. Which is a good thing. The Republican Party has descended into the depths of bigotry, hatred, racism, and religious extremism. This is not the same party from 30 years ago. It's a very polarized, extremist group right now working hard to gather the passions of a disenchanted audience.
