VIDEO: Huntsman Upset By Use of Adopted Daughters in Paul Supporter's Attack Video
UPDATE: Ron Paul campaign calls video "distasteful."
UDPATE: 1:31 p.m. A spokesperson for the Ron Paul campaign, Kate Schackai, said in a statement minutes ago: "That video is distasteful." She said the campaign would follow up with Concord NH Patch soon with more comment.
Here is the previous story:
Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman spoke to students and others at the New England College 2012 College Convention on Jan. 6, offering a 25-minute stump speech and answering questions from attendees.
One questioner asked what Huntsman thought of a negative video created by a Ron Paul supporter, NHLiberty4Paul, portraying him as weak on China trade policy because he spoke the language. A cartoon of Huntsman as Chairman Mao is featured close to the end of the ad. Huntsman called it "stupid," but was more upset at the use of his adoptive daughters - one born in China and the other in India - in the video.
"What I object to, is bringing forward pictures and videos of my adoptive daughters, suggesting that there is some sinister motive there," he said.
Huntsman noted that his Chinese daughter was left in a vegetable market and now, is "one of the greatest human beings" he knows. His other daughter was born in a village in India and "left for dead the day she was born and luckily was picked up before the animals got her."
"I have two little girls who are a daily reminder that there are a lot of kids in this world who don't have the breaks that you do," Huntsman said. "Now these two girls are on the presidential campaign trail. I say, How cool is that?"

I don't know what supporter video he's talking about ... I looked for it on youtube, but got nothing.

I still haven't seen the video, but the Paul campaign apparently called it "disgusting", and called for it to be removed.
Assuming it's as bad as it sounds, it reflects negatively on whoever put it together, but certainly not on Dr. Paul, Huntsman, or anyone else.
I disagree with Huntsman on the issues -- strongly in some cases -- but laud him for adopting children in need, and think his experience in Asia is a valuable asset, certainly not a liability.

Thanks Tony, I missed that.
And yep, it was as dumb as I expected.
Though I really don't know why some random person's stupid video would get so much attention ... this should have died in youtube obscurity along with the rest of the trashy amateur political videos on there.

Interesting; Looks like it may have been a setup: http://www.theendrun.com/huntsman-complicit-in-false-flag-style-dirty-trick-against-paul
It's not exactly ironclad proof, but the fact that Huntsman's own site was referring this instantaneously, before it had any exposure anywhere else, is suspicious to say the least.
Frankly, it makes no sense that some random supporter video, of which there are hundreds a day, would get so much attention ... this would certainly explain it. I can say, I'm probably as plugged in to the grassroots RP campaign as anyone -- I see significant (and not so significant) new videos very quickly -- and I hadn't heard a peep about this until it was already all over the news.

I am surprised that as of Jan 9 this video is still available. The Huntsman campaign admitted they themselves created it. Ron Paul had nothing to do with it except to disavow it. In the interest of responsible reporting this story should include mention that the video was a hoax by Huntsman.

Huntsman seems to only be in this race to sully Ron Paul's name. I've had it with his BS! Huntsman is going for the ignorant vote, but sadly for him- even the ignorant dislike Huntsman. Hopefully the Diebold machines up their in NH don't wind up giving him an unforseen bump on primary night (watch the exit polling!)
