Business along the Epping Road corridor are now eligible for a tax credit program, Exeter officials announced today.

PREVIOUS STORY

For decades, town officials have tried to encourage the revitalization of blighted sections of Epping Road.

There has been recent progress, as Service Credit Union opened up shop and The Meeting Place affordable housing complex was built. The Meeting Place is currently undergoing an expansion.

But work remains. There are open lots and abandoned business blocks – like the one pictured above around near Dot's Flower Shop.

Town officials are trying to encourage growth in the Epping Road corridor by applying for a state program that would provide businesses with tax credits.
