everything is about content of the character. the captain (president) of the ship (country) setRead Morethe tone for the ship. it's true in all instances. in a country, a state, city, town, household, business, airplane and actual ship. what we are seeing today emanates from him. the documentary, 2016, explained almost everything. where he's coming from and why people react the way they do toward him. and to him and Eric Holder, I would say, respect is earned. it's never automatic. if someone doesn't respect you, it's YOUR fault, not the other person's fault.

Funny driving up I-93 the other day I got to experience something I already knew. The trafficRead Morewasn't caused by lack of road surface , it was caused by control freaks and / or lazy people doing 60 in the hammer lane. Oblious to the fact that there was anyone behind them.

Yes, steve forte, drivers are terrible, but that's because they all grow up on government roads and Read Morein government-centric society, where everybody attempt to live at the expense of everyone else...Traffic is caused by congestion, which is just another word for shortage of road. Shortages are caused when the market prices are replaced by government (political) "prices."

There's no fundamental reason why government must own the roads anymore than government had toRead Morecontr ol the phone lines until a few decades ago. If it didn't, we would have better, cheaper, and SAFER roads.

If government were not legitimate, there would be no private property rights. The land could not be Read More"owned", so I am still thoroughly confused by your reasoning. Also, what's restition?
Exeter Resident April 04, 2014 at 10:22 AM
Why? Private property is determined by the homesteading principle: first user = first owner.Read MorePrivate ly owned land can be transferred through voluntary exchange. Private property rights are not defined by government. At _best_, they are simply recognized and protected by it. --- Sorry, typo: "restitution" not "resitition." --- Still, the main point we are discussing is that it is impermissible for government to use force to punish people for non-violent actions on public roads, making government road rules like banning cell phones or limiting speeds unjustified. (This follows from the fact that it is unjustified to punish someone before having committed a crime.) If I haven't convinced you yet, would say that I have a point at least?
