The American Independence Museum relies on the amazing efforts of committed volunteers. It is fun and we work tirelessly to ensure volunteers enjoy their time here. See below for some of the ways you can join one of the coolest historical museums in the entire Northeast...right in Exeter! 

  • Festival Volunteers 
    Critical to the success of our Festival are volunteers who staff various event sites/venues on the day of the event. Please set aside July 12 to help us make the day unforgettable! Click here for a volunteer form, or see the Festival page for more info.
  • Museum Educators 
    AIM seeks multiple Volunteer Museum Educators to work at its Ladd-Gilman House and Folsom Tavern in Exeter. Educators will help out with school programs as well as the execution of our public events such as our American Independence Festival. Click here for more info.
  • Museum Guides 
    AIM seeks multiple Volunteer Museum Guides to work at its Ladd-Gilman House and Folsom Tavern in Exeter. Guides will conduct tours, assist with daily museum operations including tour admissions, museum shop sales, and selling memberships. Click here for more info.
