Exeter to Get 9+ Inches of Snow

The snow is expected to start Wednesday night and last through Friday.

Exeter will get hit by at least 9 inches of snow starting late tonight.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch, saying snow will fall on and off through Friday morning.

  • HAZARD TYPES...SNOW. SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW ON THE COAST. WIND CHILL VALUES AS LOW AS 10 BELOW ZERO DURING THE DAY ON THURSDAY...AND AS LOW AS 25 BELOW ZERO THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING.
  • ACCUMULATIONS...9 OR MORE INCHES OF SNOW POSSIBLE IN THE 24 HOUR PERIOD ENDING FRIDAY MORNING.
  • TIMING...LIGHT SNOW WILL OVERSPREAD THE WATCH AREA FROM SOUTH TO NORTH LATE TONIGHT OR EARLY THURSDAY MORNING AND CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY MORNING.
  • IMPACTS...SLIPPERY SNOW COVERED ROADWAYS AND SHARPLY REDUCED VISIBILITIES AT TIMES.
  • WINDS...NORTHEAST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS AROUND 30 MPH. SLIGHTLY LIGHTER WINDS AWAY FROM THE COASTAL PLAIN.
  • TEMPERATURES...5 BELOW TO 12 ABOVE ZERO.
  • VISIBILITIES...A QUARTER MILE OR LESS AT TIMES.
