Icy Roads Could Make for a Messy Friday Commute

Sleet and snow are in the forecast for Thursday night, with up to 2 inches of accumulation possible.

It looks like more wintry weather is on the way on Thursday, with a mix of snow and sleet expected beginning around 7 p.m.

The National Weather Service is predicting up to 2 inches of accumulation statewide, with up to 1/10 of an inch of ice possible as well. Snow and sleet is expected to begin between 7 and 11 p.m., changing to freezing rain after about an hour or two, and then just rain around midnight.

The icy weather could lead to slick roadways during Friday morning's commute, and some street flooding is also possible due to blocked drains and snow melting.
