Barton C. Witham, 78, of Exeter, died Sept. 14 after a battle with cancer.
Witham was an avid outdoorsman and worked in construction, excavation, and landscaping, according to his obituary.
He was one of the founding members of the Exeter Snow Hounds, a snowmobile club.
In 2001, he was inducted into the Iron Dog Brigade at the International Snowmobile Congress held in Chicago Ill. He also served on the Rockingham Recreation Trail committee.
