Jim Reams, Ousted County Attorney, May Sue

Reams was suspended last month.

Rockingham County Attorney Jim Reams, who was suspended last month over allegations of misconduct, may sue to try and get his job back.

Reams was suspended by U.S. Attorney John Kacavas and state Attorney General Joseph Foster, who declined to reveal the nature of Reams' alleged misconduct.

Reams may sue to gain access to his office as his case progresses, according to the Eagle-Tribune. He was barred from his office following the suspension.

Reams is due in court Dec. 19.

Reams, of Hampton, has held his position since 1998. He's paid $85,000 a year, according to the Eagle-Tribune.
