Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Route 101 Wreck

A New York man was seriously injured in a crash near the Hampton tolls on Route 101 Sunday.

State Police said Ronald Orr, 66, of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. was driving on the eastbound lane of the highway and failed to slow down approaching the toll plaza. Orr then slammed into the back of a sport utility vehicle, police said.

The Hampton Fire Department transported Orr to Exeter Hospital. He was then flown by a medical helicopter to Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, Mass. because of the severity of his injuries.

Police said his injuries were not life-threatening.

Orr's crash came two days after another motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Exeter.
