It's only just started snowing, and emergency crews are already responding to multiple crashes due to slick roads across the state.
In Exeter, a section of Cross Road was closed at about 8:30 a.m. after a school bus was involved in a crash. No children were aboard, and there appeared to be no injuries, according to reports.
Multiple cars slid off Kingston Road at about 7:30 a.m. A section of that road near South Road was closed due to the hazardous driving conditions. It reopened at about 8:20 a.m. Several other crashes were reported across town, police said.
The photo at right shows a car that spun off the road in Raymond on Route 101.
Around 7 a.m. in Portsmouth, police and fire were called to a report of a motor vehicle accident with injury on Elwyn Road in the area of the Forestry Center. No further details on the crash were immediately available. Another accident was reported about five minutes before that on Portsmouth Avenue in Greenland. And a 2-car accident with injury and entrapment was reported on Washington Street in Rochester around 7:15 a.m.
A crash was reported at about 8 a.m. on Interstate 93 north in Concord between exits 12 and 13. Around 6:30 a.m., a rollover crash was reported on Interstate 93 north in Salem, just prior to exit 2.
Accidents have also been reported on Interstate 293 south in Bedford, Route 13 in Brookline, Route 4 in Northwood, Route 4 in Epsom, Route 28 in Auburn, Route 28 in Alton, Dracut Road in Hudson, and Route 101 in Wilton
Police are advising motorists to use caution on the roads, as the heavy, wet snow has caused very hazardous road conditions, especially at hills and intersections.
