Andrea Kohler 'Dedicated, Professional'

The following was submitted by Andrea Kohler, who's running for Town Clerk in next month's election.

My name is Andrea Kohler and I am running for Town Clerk. I want to share my credentials with you, so you can determine for yourself why I believe my candidacy for Town Clerk would be the right choice for the Town and the residents.

I am a NH Certified Deputy Town Clerk, which has made my position as Acting Town Clerk a seamless transition. I began my work in the Town Clerks' Office in 2006. I have assisted at every type of Election since then. My training with the Secretary of State's Office, Bureau of Vital Records, Division of Motor Vehicles and the Title Bureau, has provided me with the knowledge and tools necessary to help the residents of Exeter.

I have a degree in Business Management, and I am a proud Veteran of the US Air Force. I served in the Strategic Air Command for the 509th Bomb Wing. I was stationed at Pease Air Force Base in the Field Maintenance Squadron, and received an honorable discharge.

One of my priorities as your Town Clerk will be to actively explore the qualifications needed for the Clerk's Office to implement the use of credit cards as a form of payment. I will also explore a possible change in the hours the Clerk's Office is open to the public. Both of these plans I will present to the Board of Selectmen for discussion and possible implementation.

I am asking for your vote on March 13. I would like to continue providing the best service possible for the Exeter residents in a dedicated, professional and efficient manner. I consider Exeter a special Town, and I would be proud to be your Town Clerk. Thank you for your consideration.
