Executive Councilor Chris Sununu (R-Newfields) announced Thursday that he won't run for governor, Congress or Senate in 2014, according to the Union Leader.
Sununu told the newspaper's John DiStaso that work and family considerations were the key factors behind his decision. He also said he will seek re-election to his District 3 Executive Council seat.
Sununu, the brother of former U.S. Sen. John E. Sununu and son of former New Hampshire Gov. John H. Sununu, had said in the spring that he was considering a run for higher office in 2014.
