Exeter's Hassan Announces Campaign Staff

She's running for governor.

Exeter's Maggie Hassan, the only Democratic candidate so far to announce a run for governor, has her campaign staff in place.

Hassan announced via Facebook today that she hired New Hampshire native Matt Burgess as her campaign manager. WMUR's James Pindell wrote today Hassan also has the following people in place:

  • Pamela Danielson (Finance Director)
  • Wyatt Fore (Political Director)
  • Joe Slade White (Media Consultant)
  • Al Quinlan (Pollster)
  • Nick Clemons (Senior Advisor)
  • Theo Yedinsky (Senior Advisor)

One person commented on Hassan's Facebook page that she should improve her online presence, arguing Republican candidate Ovide Lamontagne is now "doing a better job at utilizing social media." Lamontagne's Facebook page can be found here.

Hassan responded, "Thanks for the feedback – looking forward to gearing up the campaign and more social networking in the future."

Lamontagne and former Cornerstone head Kevin Smith are vying for the GOP nomination.

Current Gov. John Lynch recently announced he is not running for re-election.
