Prescott, whose district includes Exeter and several surrounding towns, owns a water systems company in Exeter. He touted Romney's business acumen in a statement.
"Mitt Romney ... would be an entrepreneur’s best friend," Prescott said. “I believe Mitt Romney will accomplish job creation in the private sector, and I look forward to working with him to bring many of those jobs to New Hampshire.”
Prescott's district includes Exeter, East Kingston, Kensington, Kingston, Newfields, Newmarket, Newton, Seabrook, South Hampton and Stratham.
Prescott is in the middle of his third term in the Senate.
