It will be held April 29.

The following is a news release:

Exeter-based Girl Scout Troop 20786 in collaboration with the Town of Exeter’s "ThinkBlue Campaign" is sponsoring a family friendly Earth Day picnic event April 29 in Swasey Parkway from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

It's a family friendly event that educates about water pollution. It's a free event run by the Girls Scouts. There will be games, booths and presentations.

The event will help the girl scouts earn their Silver Award – the second-highest award in scouting. The girls have each contributed their own work to the project and are required to put in 50 hours by the time the project is complete.

The event is designed to dovetail with the ThinkBlue Exeter Campaign to raise awareness about non-point source water pollution and the effect it has on Great Bay. The girls have been working in collaboration with Kristen Murphy, Exeter's Natural Resources Planner, and their event has been sponsored by the Exeter Conservation Commission.
