New Habitat ReStore Needs Manpower

Habitat for Humanity's new Restore opens in Newington Oct. 1.

Southeast New Hampshire Habitat for Humanity is looking for volunteers for help prepare its new ReStore in Newington for its grand opening Oct. 1.

No special skills are required -- just a willingness to pitch in wherever needed, according to Jonathan Miller, an Exeter native who was the group's executive director.

With the closing of the ReStore in Dover this past Saturday after three years, the group needs help loading the remaining inventory from there and moving it to the new ReStore, located at 29 Fox Run Road in Newington (diagonally across from  Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and right around the corner from Walmart)

The ReStore sells lightly used, donated home furnishings -- including things like kitchen cabinets, appliances, and furniture. Proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity's efforts.

Volunteers can contact ReStore manager Doug Willey at 603-426-1859 for information on helping out.

Habitat volunteers are also working on two homes for needy families this Saturday in Farmington and Rochester.
