'A Christmas Carol,' Holiday Cheer This Weekend

Charles Dickens' holiday classic to be performed at North Church in Portsmouth and Exeter Town Hall this weekend.

The holiday season is well underway here on the Seacoast and there are several holiday parades taking place for those who want to get into the spirit.

1. See "A Christmas Carol": Gerald Dickens, the great, great, great grandson of Charles Dickens, bring his one-man show of "A Christmas Carol" to the North Church on Saturday with performances at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

2. Eat pizza, see Santa:
Bella Rose Brick Oven Pizza in North Hampton will also have Santa on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. along with free cookies and hot cocoa

3. "A Christmas Carol" at Exeter Town Hall: Charles Dickens' classic holiday tale, "A Christmas Carol," will also be performed at Exeter Town Hall on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

4. Candlelight Stroll: Strawbery Banke Museum continues to hold its annual Candlelight Stroll each weekend through the holiday season where visitors can see how Christmas was celebrated during the different time periods in the museum's various houses.

5. "A Christmas Story" at the Rep: The Seacoast Repertory Theatre's production of "A Christmas Story" continues its holiday run with its final weekend before Christmas with performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
