Lightning Strikes Exeter Home

There was no fire and no apparent damage to the building.

An Exeter home was apparently struck by lightning during a Thursday afternoon storm.

The initial report of a home struck by lightning at 9 Newfields Road came in around 1 p.m. Exeter Fire Chief Brian Comeau said the fire alarm at the nearby Public Works Department first alerted firefighters.

Comeau said there was no fire and no apparent damage, but there were several breakers tripped inside the home, indicating that it had most likely been hit by lightning.
