Exeter Restaurant Hires New Chefs, Revamps Menu

Pimentos is undergoing some major changes.

Pimentos Restaurant in downtown Exeter has hired a new chef and has completely revamped its menu.

Signs went up outside the restaurant at 69 Water St. this week, reading "Experience The New Pimentos: New Chefs & New Menu." The restaurant's Facebook page says longtime chef Michael Spencer Norcross has departed and Chef Matt Souder and Sous Chef Brian Sorrentino have joined the restaurant.

The finishing touches are still being put on the new menu, which debuted late last week. New cocktails have also been added to the menu. Already, at least one customer seems to like the new offerings.

"Just had dinner there tonight and the new menu is fabulous and the food even better," Florence Cates Ruffner commented on the Pimentos Facebook page.

The full menu is expected to be posted on the Pimentos website later this week.
