Investigators—including the State Police Major Crime Unit—were still at the scene as of 5:30 p.m.

At about 10 a.m., police transported a man away from the scene in the back of a cruiser. He did not appear to be under arrest.

Investigators searched two vehicles—a gray Hyundai sedan and a black Honda sedan. The Hyundai was reportedly in the parking lot before the fire broke out.

There was little visible smoke damage to the building. Officials did not say how the fire was started.

A representative from the state fire marshal's office was at the scene. North Hampton police were also at the scene.

The abandoned City Concrete Co. building is located next to the Exeter pool and recreation fields, across from the old Rockingham County Courthouse. The building has been vacant for at least the last 20 years, according to assessing records.
