Judge Rules on County Attorney Sexual Harassment Case

Jim Reams was suspended after allegations of sexual harassment.

Embattled Rockingham County Attorney Jim Reams this week remained suspended as state and federal authorities investigate allegations of sexual harassment.

Reams was suspended in November. The Union Leader reported this week that a judge ruled Reams should remain suspended as the investigation progresses. Reams has said he did nothing wrong and petitioned to be reinstated.

After his suspension, State Rep. Laura Pantelakos (D-Portsmouth) told Patch female employees in Reams' office faced a "hostile work environment." Pantelakos said the conditions did not rise to the level of sexual harassment.
