Neighbors Tried to Rescue Fire Victim

One person died in a fire in Raymond.

One person was killed in a fire early Saturday morning in Raymond.

Authorities said the fire broke out at a single-family, manufactured home at 37 Regina Ave. at about 1:30 a.m. Neighbors and first responders tried to enter the residence, but they were hampered by "a large amount of clutter inside the home that was blocking doors," according to authorities.

The victim was not immediately identified. An investigation was launched into the cause of the fire.
