NH Moves Toward Implementation of Medical Marijuana Law

A panel charged with helping to implement the law met for the first time on Thursday.

The panel charged with implementing New Hampshire's new medical marijuana law has begun its work, according to the Associated Press.

The law was signed in July and will allow doctors to provide relief to patients through the use of appropriately regulated and dispensed medical marijuana. The bill also included a provision creating a committee to help implement the law.

That committee met for the first time Thursday, and made two key decisions. One had to do with the amount of time the state has to rule on applications from caregivers seeking to dispense marijuana for medical purposes, and the other had to do with a part of the law that says the locations of dispensaries should be kept private.
