Neighbor Doesn't Want Green Bean to Expand
The downtown restaurant is planning an addition in the former Trends shop.
An abutter to the Green Bean is objecting to the downtown restaurant's plans to expand.
Owner Jeff Turner previously said he plans to build a new kitchen in an adjacent space where Trends Gift Gallery used to be located. Trends moved to a new space by the bandstand.
Turner said he would add about 30 seats where the current kitchen is located. Those seats would have views of the Squamscott River.
The Zoning Board of Adjustment will hold a hearing on the matter tonight at 7 p.m. at the Town Offices.
Turner said he also plans to open a new restaurant in the former Trends space.
