Local Teen Charged in School Gun Threat

The incident prompted a heavy police response on Monday.

An 18-year-old Danville teen was arrested Monday after he allegedly threatened several individuals at Sanborn Regional High School with a gun.

Timothy M. Soucy, 18, is charged with two counts of criminal threatening, although state police said additional charges are possible as the investigation continues.

According to state police, Kingston Police responded to a report of a former Sanborn Regional High School student on school grounds armed with a firearm around 12:15 p.m. Monday. The report indicated the subject was in the parking lot and had threatened several individuals with the firearm.

A large-scale local, state and county wide police response resulted, and the school went into an immediate lockdown. A short time later, the suspect, Soucy, was located at his residence in Danville and taken into custody without incident. A female was also taken into custody by police, but she was later released and charges against her are not anticipated.

Anyone with information regarding the investigation is urged to contact Sgt. Melissa Robles or Trooper John Kelly at New Hampshire State Police Troop A at 603-223-8490.
